Unique within the professional development industry, Performance Transformation employs Equine Facilitated Experiential Learning as an option in our custom programs. As prey animals, horses are hyper-aware of their surroundings. Their sensitivity mirrors human emotions. These ground-based exercises (no riding occurs) require participants to engage in their authentic presence in order to connect, engage, and motivate the horse to achieve a designated tasks without the use of dominating behavior or coercion. Inevitably, how we relate to other human beings emerges as we relate to the horses. The exercises are grounded in the competencies of Emotional Intelligence, constructs from Applied Behavioral Economics, concepts in Core Mammalian Emotional Systems, and recent research from the fields of neurophysiology and performance psychology.
